Sam and Zach’s first date in Beacon, New York was one that would end up meaning far more than either of them expected.

At the time, it was simply a date. But somewhere between good conversation, a little charm, and an undeniable connection, something clicked. What followed quickly became their own version of the classic “city girl meets upstate boy” story.

Sam, a true city girl, was spending her time on Central Park West, while Zach, more at home upstate, was no stranger to the mountains and open space. The two quickly fell into their own rhythm, doing the upstate–downstate dance, splitting time between city streets and weekends upstate.

Along the way, they began trading one world for the other, swapping weekends of jazz clubs and cocktail bars, museums, and reservoir runs for car shows, hiking trails, bike rides, and long drives through the Hudson Valley. In the process, what started as two different worlds slowly became one. Before they knew it, their lives began to seamlessly intertwine, and what once felt like a contrast became a perfect balance.

Over time, that first date in Beacon turned into something much bigger...and now, they can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of you this August!
